I lived in Ukraine for a semester while in college and grew to love the people and the food! Peirogies were something we ate often there but they of course, were not gluten free. 🙁 Until seeing these new peirogies that The Grainless Baker offers, I had never seen a gluten free version so I was thrilled. I got to review the potato and cheese peirogies. I tried first boiling them in water but I didn’t like the texture that came out. After following the directions for frying them in a bit of butter, I was happy to taste this old favorite. When cooked right, it can be a nice comfort food. It sure brought me back to my time in Ukraine.
