Gluten-free friends – our free mobile
iPhone, Android) helps you find food and drink
options nearby that match your specific diet preferences or
restrictions such as: gluten-free, vegan, paleo, vegetarian, organic
and locally grown foods.
My blog is called ATX Gluten-Free and I love to blog about my unique
recipes that I whip up in the kitchen, giveaways of my favorite
products, and I love to keep people up to date with what is going on
in the local Austin gluten-free community, as well as national.
How long have you been blogging? I have been blogging since around 2009.
I started my gluten-free blog more as a personal outlet for what I was
going through, my Celiac disease diagnosis. I began writing about
restaurants I was finding that accommodated my lifestyle, as well as
recipes I was trying in the kitchen. After a while, people began to
join in on the discussion and it really grew to be a great community.
There are so many wonderful gluten-free blogs out there, including
yours! I think what makes mine different is it reflects me, as an
individual. The blog has followed me through so many life changes –
diagnosis, graduating graduate school, founding a couple businesses. I
also love to create what I call unique and stylish gluten-free recipes
that are great for entertaining and easy to make.
Oh goodness, good question. I believe it will just evolve as I evolve.
I’d like to add a discussion forum to the blog and make it even more
of an interactive community.
The community! The food blogger community, foodie community,
gluten-free community (online and off) is just so supportive. Of
course I love helping others out along their gluten-free path also.
Everyone is so supportive, it’s great!
Yes, I love hosting giveaways! My favorite giveaway was last year’s
Austin City Limits Festival three-day pass giveaway sponsored by KIND
Snacks. Two of my favorite things in one giveaway!
I love your blog, Chandice! As well as Simply Sugar and Gluten-Free,
Daily Bites Blog, Against All Grain, Gluten-Free Goddess and more!
There are so many wonderful gluten-free blogs!
