I am SO excited to share our newly redesigned website with all of you! Up until this time, I have been very nervous about sharing much from my personal life here on Gluten Free Frenzy. I realize now, that it is finally time to open up and share more with all of you beyond just my kitchen and gluten-free life.
Since the start of my blogging journey back in 2009 (with a totally random recipe and a horrid photo, don’t go looking, no really, it’s bad) I have loved sharing recipes, reviews and more giveaways then I can count with all of you. After being diagnosed with celiac disease the previous year, I felt inspired to share my journey and help others in any way I could throughout theirs. Around this time I also founded the Celiac Disease Foundation East Arizona chapter as an additional way to help those in my local area. Receiving your heartfelt emails, phone calls and hugs as I met many of you in person over the years has filled my heart with so much joy and kept me writing regularly. Through these adventures, the past five years of my life have been almost completely consumed with living gluten-free. It has been great and has given me not just confidence to live this lifestyle but thrive on and truly love it. Whether it be recipe development, advocating, organizing awareness nights around the nation, writing and speaking about gluten-free living in various capacities or starting gluten-free projects including the cookbook, Gluten Free on a Budget, my mom and I co-wrote, I have had little balance in my life. During this same five years, I have also moved four times, finished my Bachelor’s of Science degree from ASU in Exercise and Health Wellness, helped support my husband in any way I could through is MBA (while he also worked full-time, yeah, he’s a rockstar!), bought, ran then eventually sold an online baby boutique, started another online business, helped run social media for Real Foods Market, worked at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, AZ as a spa concierge then eventually a fitness and pilates instructor, taught up to eight fitness classes a week at LA Fitness gyms in Arizona (water aerobics, spin and pilates) & taught in-home private pilates, celebrated 5 years of marriage with my best friend and had three absolutely amazing children. Those last two being the crowning moments of my life. What I am trying to say is that the last five years have been great but also extremely busy.
Each of the experiences I have had and the many wonderful people I have met along the way have shaped me into the woman I am today. I am Eternally grateful for that. However, as a mom of three little ones, a wife and an author/blogger, I would like to find more balance and create a new “normal” for myself. You may not know this about me but I absolutely LOVE holidays. My mom always shared fun traditions with us kids each holiday and I love doing the same for mine. I also love DIY projects and photography (though I am still learning how to do them really well). I really enjoy throwing parties whether it be a birthday bash, a girls night in or a festive holiday party. I would really like to share more of these other interests that I have with all of you. As we transition from to more of a full lifestyle blog, I plan on sharing some great ideas for fun with your spouse and kids, DIY projects, holiday traditions and party ideas. Don’t worry though, I will still be sharing recipes galore since, well, I LOVE food! Of course, we will also still provide giveaways when possible as well as host our annual 25 Days of Gluten-Free Giveaways™ each year in which we giveaway thousands of dollars worth of awesome prizes and goodies.
So come along with me as I share a little bit of my happily ever after with all of you. I hope that our new journey will inspire you to find and cherish your own happily ever after moments…
