t was at the Melting Pot and it was in the form of their blackberry sage lemonade. One sip and I was smitten. The sweet, tart blackberry syrup with the earthy, muted sage flavor was just perfect. Mix in the delicious lemonade and you have a perfect beverage, especially on hot summer days.
Since it is nearly fall, I just had to get this recipe up in time for you to enjoy a bit more of the flavors summer has to offer. This drink it super easy and can be made in just a few minutes.
Now, let me be the first to say, it is NOT low calorie, low sugar or healthy. It is VERY good though so eh… 😉 It’s ok to enjoy every once in a while. I give you, Melting Pot copycat blackberry sage lemonade.
Blackberry Sage Lemonade Melting Pot Copycat
- 10 blackberries
- 8-10 sage leaves
- 1 1/2 half lemons
- 2 oz. Monin Blackberry Syrup
- 2 C cold water
- 4-6 tsp. superfine sugar
- 4 blackberries
- 4 sage leaves
- 2 lemon wedges
- Stir together water, 4 tsp. superfine sugar (add the other 2 tsp. if it needs more sweetener) and the juice of one lemon. Set aside. In a large mixing glass, muddle the blackberries, sage leaves and remaining half lemon that has been sliced into wedges. Fill mixing glass with ice. Add Monin blackberry syrup. Fill with lemonade that you made and set aside. Mix well then pour back into serving glasses and garnish.
