Notes

What goes well with bacon-wrapped tots? These tater tot bombs make the perfect side dish to burgers, grilled chicken, gluten-free meatloaf, instant pot ribs, and pretty much anything hearty. I also recommend serving a side salad or vegetables with these tots for a healthy balance.
Why are my tater tots not crispy?Make sure that you're not using thick cut bacon as well as make sure your tots are cooled to room temperature before cooking. Freezer burn could also cause soggy tater tots so watch out for that too.
What dipping sauce goes well with tater tots? For these tots I like to use homemade ranch dressing, sriracha honey glaze, or another spicy glaze. The brown sugar in this recipe tastes great with a hint of spice.
Pro tip: Place your tater tots on a paper towel after they cooked to drain extra grease.
