Ingredients

  • 2 pounds hamburger
  • 1 46 oz. can tomato juice
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1/4 cup onion diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 pkg. gluten-free spaghetti I recommend Jovial brand

Instructions

  • In a large pot, saute ground beef with onion until the meat is no longer pink
  • Crumble meat and sprinkle with cornstarch
  • Add all remaining ingredients in the pot and simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes, liquid should be reduced by almost half
  • Meanwhile, boil water in another pot and cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions
  • Once pasta is soft and done, drain and serve sauce over over top with fresh parmesan and basil

Notes

Variations

    • Add vegetables - I recommend adding in diced zucchini, squash, bell peppers, mushrooms, or fresh spinach for added nutrients and flavors.
    • Type of pasta - While I prefer regular spaghetti or capellini noodles, you can easily use penne, rotini, angel hair, even fettuccine.
    • Different meat - You can omit the meat all together or use Italian sausage, ground chicken, ground turkey, etc.

Storage

Storing - You can store this easy gluten-free spaghetti recipe in the fridge an airtight container for 2-3 days. Make sure your pasta has cooled to room temperature before storing and reheat in the microwave or in the instant pot when you're ready to serve.
Freezing - You can freeze this delicious recipe for up to 3 months
