This Hot Artichoke Dip comes together so easily with just 4 ingredients and a quick bake in the oven. It's a creamy, rich, and savory appetizer that pairs deliciously with crackers, veggies, bread, and more! A go-to comfort recipe for Holidays, game days, or cozy nights in. And I love that it truly is focused on the artichoke not the spinach that many have.

The best things about this hot artichoke dip
- Easy, hands off recipe: With only 4 ingredients and 6 steps, this recipe is seriously stress free. If you've got a lot of other cooking to do or simply don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen, this recipe is for you.
- A total crowd pleaser: This recipe is rich, cheesy, and the right amount of indulgent which is why it's the best for game days, parties, or family dinners. Just like my mini cheeseballs. We make it every thanksgiving because it is a highly requested dip that we have made over 30 times!
- Versatile: It pairs well with crackers, crunchy veggies, pita chips, and warm gluten free garlic bread. We've even enjoyed it cold the next day spread on a sandwich with leftover Thanksgiving turkey or made into a gf panini.
The Short and Sweet Ingredient List
- Artichokes: Canned artichoke hearts packed in water are the best kind to use here. Drain them and give them a quick mash with a fork for the perfect texture.
- Mayo: Classic mayo keeps the dip rich and smooth without causing too much chaos!
- Parmesan: Fresh, grated parmesan cheese will melt right into the dip, giving you that delicious cheese pull that everyone loves. It's much better than the shelf table shaker cheese.
- Green Chilies: These are mild enough for everyone, but add just the right amount of flavor pop.
How to make how artichoke dip
Tips for the Best Hot Artichoke Dip
- Drain the artichokes well: To avoid a watery dip, you need to drain the artichokes well. If it helps, you can give them a little pat down with a paper towel or slightly squeeze them.
- Grate your own parmesan: I know that store bought parmesan is much easier, but for the best melty flavor, grate your own parmesan!
- Customize it to your liking: Add extra cheese, some red pepper flakes, garlic powder, or even a handful of spinach (although I don't recommend that) to make it your own.
Pairings that make this dip even better
This dip is basically an invitation to get creative! Serve with tortilla chips, pile it onto fresh pita chips or gluten free naan bread, or keep things nice and crisp with some carrots or fresh cucumbers. Honestly, anything you want to dip or spread is fair game when it comes to artichoke dip!
