This sour cream chip dip is so addicting! It is sure to be a hit at your next gathering. The best part is that you won’t be slaving away all day in the kitchen.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved sour cream chip dip. They were always so delicious but each was missing just a little something. That’s why I decided to create my own.
Some sour cream chip dips only have sour cream. However, this one combines the creamy goodness of both sour cream and cream cheese. I then mix in some of my other favorite things. I hope you like them as much as I do!
One ingredient I couldn’t do without were pimentos. It’s so silly but when I was a kid I used to suck out the pimentos from green olives because I loved them so much. I know, I was a weird kid. I loved beets too…The great thing about this sour cream chip dip is that it is great for more than just chips. I love dipping those mini peppers or sliced mini English cucumbers in it. Classic carrots and celery are also great accompaniments.
One thing to keep in mind is that this dip is best served chilled. You can get creative with the ingredients and add in more things or leave out ingredients that aren’t exactly your favorite.

- 1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1 package Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix
- 1 C cheddar cheese
- 1/4 C pimentos
- 2 T fresh chives
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Whip the cream cheese and sour cream until light
- Add in the remaining ingredients and stir well
- Place in a serving bowl and top with fresh parsley
