These easy frozen waffles in air fryer take minutes to make! It’s the best way to get breakfast on the table during a busy morning.

Breakfast foods are probably favorite type of food! There’s nothing better than starting your day off on the right foot with a delicious and hot breakfast. Plus, it’s even better when your breakfast only takes 7 minutes to make!

Serving these waffles with easy air fryer sausage patties or even frozen hash browns in the air fryer makes for the perfect complete and easy breakfast! An entire breakfast made in the air fryer allows for easy clean up!

I could rave about air fryer recipes forever because the cooking time is so much shorter than an oven, waffle iron, toaster oven, etc. You’re also able to cook a lot of food at once depending on the size of your air fryer basket.

With quick recipes like this one, I like to keep everything simple and streamlined. For this waffle breakfast, I normally top the waffles with fresh fruit, peanut butter, whipped cream or simple syrups to keep things easy.

You can also top them with maple syrup. If you don’t have it here is a substitute for maple syrup list of 10 options.

Are homemade waffles better than frozen?

In some cases, there’s nothing better than a hot homemade waffle. I love making my gluten-free waffles on Saturday or Sunday mornings when I have extra time.

Homemade waffles might taste slightly better than frozen waffles, but frozen waffles are still delicious, take a fraction of the time to make, and have little to no clean up!

Plus, frozen waffles in the air fryer taste even better than in the toaster! The hot air in the air fryer makes them extra crispy for the perfect complete breakfast.

What can I top frozen waffles with?

You can top a hot waffle with tons of different things! My favorite toppings are nut butters, chocolate chips, fresh berries, delicious maple syrup, honey, butter and chocolate hazelnut spread!

The good news is is that the topping options are endless! Toppings are such an easy way to spice up this recipe to you (or your kids) liking!

    Waffles in Air Fryer Ingredients

Frozen air fryer waffles are seriously so easy you only need one ingredient!

    Frozen waffles

We like to use gluten-free frozen waffles but feel free to use whatever brand if your favorite. I know that some people love Trader Joe waffles and others love Birch Benders Protein Waffles as well!

    How to make them

Although the cook time will vary slightly depending on the thickness of your waffles, the instructions are super easy to follow! Just two simple steps!

Step 1: Place frozen waffles in the air fryer in one even layer

Place frozen waffles in a single layer in the air fryer

Step 2: Cook at 360 degrees for 6 minutes, turning once if you desire

Set air fryer to 6 minutes for frozen waffles

Pro Tip: Use oil spray and lightly spray the bottom of the air fryer basket to keep your waffles from sticking. You’ll only have to do this if your air fryer is old and “broken-in.”

Can you put Eggo waffles in the air fryer?

Yes! You can put Eggo waffles as well as other types of frozen waffles in the air fryer. Air fryer waffles are perfectly crispy and done in no time! The short cook time allows you to cook a large number of waffles!

Can you put aluminum foil in the air fryer?

Yes you can put aluminum foil in the air fryer as long as you’re not covering any important part of the machine. For easy clean up, feel free to add a single layer of aluminum foil to the bottom of your air fryer tray and throw away when you’re done cooking.

Can you reheat waffles in air fryer?

Yes! In addition to cooking waffles in the air fryer, you can quickly reheat waffles in the air fryer. For best results, set your air fryer at 350 degrees and a cook time of 1-2 minutes.

How do you keep waffles fresh overnight?

If you want to store these classic waffles overnight or even for a couple of days, you can place them in an airtight container or plastic bag and keep in the refrigerator. The only thing you need to make sure of is that your waffles are fully cooled before refrigerating.
