I am loving all of the new air fryer recipes I have found lately. Air fryer recipes are such an easy way to have a delicious, easy snack without taking too much time. Along with this recipe, I am also loving these Frozen Chicken Tenders in Air Fryer, pot pie in air fryer and dino nuggets in air fryer plus waffle fries in the air fryer instructions.

Sweet potato fries are already a healthier alternative to regular fries, so cooking them in the air fryer is a great way to eat fewer calories. You also don’t have to use any oil with the recipe, so not deep frying these fries will also make it healthier.

If you have picky eaters in the house, sweet potato fries are a great option. You can pair these delicious fries with your favorite dipping sauce, making it great for every family member. I personally like honey mustard, but you can use your favorite sauce.

The cooking process is quite simple and is the easiest way to have delicious sweet potato fries. I think these air fryer frozen sweet potato fries are perfect for family gatherings, game days, or even just an afternoon snack. Paired with our frozen potstickers in air fryer, they are great!

Air fryers really are the best way to cook delicious snacks in a short amount of time. You can get creative and even try these baked dill fries in the air fryer.

    What you need

For this recipe, you will only need one ingredient. Yeah, only one. These frozen sweet potato fries are probably one of the easiest recipes ever.

    Frozen sweet potato fries

You can pretty much find frozen sweet potato fries at any grocery store in the frozen section. There are many options and you can pick whichever you like. We always go with the gluten-free ones.

You do not need oil or anything for this recipe. Feel free to use whatever spices you want though. I’ve heard of some people using garlic powder or onion powder.

How to make the sweet potato fries

    • Preheat air fryer at 350 degrees
    • Place the frozen sweet potato fries in the bottom of the air fryer basket in a single layer
      • Lay down parchment paper or use olive oil if you would like
    • Cook for 16 minutes or until cooked through
      • You can turn the fries over one time through if desired.

Top Tip: You can put your sweet potato fries back in the air fryer for a couple more minutes if you find they’re not fully cooked.

What temperature do you cook frozen sweet potato fries in the air fryer?

For this recipe, you will want to cook these fries at 350 degrees. Some recipes call for 400 degrees. It just depends on how you want your fries cooked and which air fryer brand you use.

Can I use Pam in the air fryer?

No. You can use olive oil or even no oil (like this recipe calls for), but Pam has chemicals that can damage your air fryer.

Can aluminum foil be used in the air fryer?

Yes, but I usually use parchment paper as it is safer. When using aluminum foil, you have to be extra careful because it could damage your air fryer. If you cover an important part of the air fryer, it could cause issues.

    How to store leftovers

One of the best things about an air fryer are the leftovers. I have never had such delicious leftovers until I started heating them up in the air fryer.

Allow the sweet potato fries to cool before placing them in an airtight container. Make sure you line the container with a paper towel first. The paper towel keeps them from getting soggy.

Then, put them in the refrigerator. They will last 3-5 days.

You can reheat the leftover sweet potato fries in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 350 degrees. Using the air fryer will keep the fries crispy, rather than soggy in the microwave.

    Ingredients

    • 15 ounce bag frozen sweet potato fries (we use gluten-free)

    Instructions

    • Place 1/2 the bag of frozen sweet potato fries into the air fryer basket in a single layer
    • Cook at 350 degrees for 16 minutes or until cooked through and crispy, turn once throughout cooking if you'd like
    • Remove and enjoy!

    Notes

There’s no oil needed for this recipe! If you notice that your air fryer tends to stick to things, feel free to spray with olive oil before placing fries down but it may not be necessary.
You can store leftover fries in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You should let your fries cool completely before storing. I recommend placing a paper towel in the bottom of your container to catch any excess moisture.
You can reheat these frozen sweet potato fries in air fryer at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes or until thoroughly hot. Reheating them in the air fryer will make them crispier than reheating in the microwave.
Top Tip: You can put your sweet potato fries back in the air fryer for a couple more minutes if you find they’re not fully cooked.
