Gluten Free Chips with a hand in a Pinterest pin

Most chips are naturally gluten free but we’ve put together our favorite gluten free chips. They are now available in a wide range of flavors and textures from potato and corn to cassava and vegetable.

Since I’ve been navigating the gluten-free world for over 15 years now, it’s safe to say I’ve narrowed down the best options. Whether you’re a fan of classic potato chips, tortilla chips, or even veggie crisps, I’m here to make your snack decisions easier and more enjoyable!

Navigating the isles of the grocery store to look for that “certified gluten-free” symbol can be a time consuming challenge. That’s why I’m here to give you the best gluten-free chips so you can breeze through your next grocery run.

With the increasing demand for gluten-free chips, it’s become much easier to find delicious snacks that cater to those with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance. Plus, you no longer have to compromise on taste and texture for a gluten-free option.

So whether you’re lounging on the couch or feeding a crowd at your next party, these chip options will suit your snacking needs.

    Are all potato chips gluten-free?

While most potato chips are gluten-free because they’re made with potatoes and oil, some brands contain gluten in the additional seasonings or added breading. It’s important to double check the ingredients list if you are unsure.

Most of Lay’s potato chips are gluten free. This includes their classic potato chip, sea salt and vinegar, BBQ, baked potato chips, and more. Kettle, Trader Joe’s, Siete, and The Good Crisp are additional brands that offer gluten-free potato chips. The classic potato chip and sour cream dip combo is unmatched so it’s important to have good chips on hand!

What are some popular gluten-free chip brands?

As touched on in the previous paragraph, Lay’s has tons of gluten-free chips to offer. It never hurts to have options, so here are a few more of my favorite brands that have great celiac friendly chips.

    Kettle Brand

Kettle brand offers classic potato chips and air fried potato chips that come in a variety of flavors made with gluten-free ingredients. If you like spicy, you should try their jalapeño chips but you can never go wrong with sea salt and vinegar. You can find kettle chips in nearly every grocery store which makes them easily accessible and affordable.

    Popcorners

Popcorners are a relatively new chip to hit the market and they’re made with corn, sunflower oil, and seasoning. Since they’re never made with any additives or artificial flavors, these are a great option if you’re looking for something healthier than potato chips. Never fried, made with real ingredients, and gluten-free for the perfect quilt-free snack.

    Terra

Terra chips are a little different because they’re made from root vegetables like sweet potatoes, taro, and beets. Perfect for those with gluten allergies. These vegetable chips are naturally gluten-free and come in tons of different flavors. These chips are another healthy option that even picky eaters will love.

    Siete

Siete makes some of my favorite chips that are paleo, vegan, and gluten-free. They have tons of options for those who live a gluten-free lifestyle. With healthier potato chips to churro flavored tortilla chips, you can find all your snacking needs with Siete. I also love using their tortillas when making gluten-free tacos.

    Doritos type Gluten Free Chips

    Are Doritos gluten-free?

Most Doritos are made with wheat flour and other gluten-containing ingredients. However, the simply organic white cheddar flavored tortilla chips made by Dorito are gluten-free. If you’re craving nacho cheese or cool ranch Doritos, it’s best to opt for a brand like Siete or Late July because they have the same flavors but made gluten-free.

    What tortilla chips are gluten-free?

    Late July

Late July is known for their organic, non-GMO, gluten-free tortilla chips. Made with simple ingredients like corn, vegetable oil, and seasoning, they’re naturally gluten-free. With fun flavors like lime, jalapeno, and nacho cheese, they make a great healthy snack compared to unhealthier chips like Doritos.

    Tostitos

Although Tostitos is not a 100% gluten-free brand, they do offer a lot of gluten-free options. They’re original corn tortilla chips are gluten-free but flavors like black bean and garlic contain gluten. It’s best to double check the ingredient list for gluten ingredients like wheat starch, barley, or rye.

    Way Better Snacks

These tortilla chips are made form sprouted grains and seeds for a healthier chip. Tortilla chips made with chia seeds, quinoa, and flax seeds allows for a quilt free snack that will keep you satisfied.

Can you make homemade gluten-free chips?

If you’re tired of searching for that certified gluten free label in stores, you can easily make your own gluten-free chips at home. The easiest chips to make are potato chips with potatoes of your choice, oil, and salt. You can make them in the air fryer or the oven.

I like to slice sweet potatoes very thin, drizzle with avocado oil, and cook in the air fryer with flakey sea salt. You get the crispiest homemade sweet potato chips in no time!
