Gluten-free Christmas crack is my new go-to holiday treat because everyone adores it and it takes minimal amount of time to make. Yeah, just 15 minutes. Plus, it only requires a 4 ingredients. You can't beat that...

If you are looking for a fun twist on this classic recipe, I also love to make our white chocolate Christmas crack often! Our gluten free sugar cookies are another winner that even my non gluten free friends love

Why you are going to love it
- Only 4 ingredients- I love this gluten-free sweet treat because it’s so easy to make and everyone enjoys it at a party. Plus with only four ingredients, you almost always have the ingredients on hand.
- Great on-the-go treat- It’s easy to eat on the go while you’re visiting at holiday parties too which is nice. Unlike most desserts that require a fork and knife.
- Can be made ahead of time- I make this early all the time then just freeze it and bring it back out for events or gatherings.
- Perfect addition to cookies- I LOVE to break up this even more into small chunks and add it to our gluten free chocolate chip cookies. My brother in law (who doesn't eat gluten free) said they are the best cookies he has ever had!

Let's make some candy
Ok it is actually so simple to make this tasty treat...

- Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour then once chocolate has hardened, break pieces off the foil and plate

Can use ghirardelli white chips instead chocolate chips?
Thanks :))
Chandice says
Absolutely! We have a white Christmas crack here on the website as well...
Emily says
Does it matter if the brown sugar is light or dark?
Thank you
Chandice says
No 🙂
Emily says
Does it matter if the brown sugar is light or dark, does one taste better than the other?
Thank you
Chandice says
Large cookie sheet 11x17
Tamara says
What size pan do you use?
Chandice says
Standard baking sheet 10x15 is great.
Simone says
Love this stuff! Used Schar crackers. Followed instructions. Any idea why mine ended up more flexible than really hard? I’ve had it with gluten and remember it being more crunchy than chewy… Wondering if I did something wrong.
Chandice says
Did you bake them before adding chocolate?
Simone says
Yes, for 8 min. I’ll try the full 9 next time. I also cooled partially on the counter then in the fridge because I wanted the chocolate to stay nice and shiny. I’ll use the freezer next time and see if that makes a difference.
Shannon Livingstone says
Does it freeze well
Chandice says
Yes, we always freeze it 🙂
Lauren Estill says
Hi! I have a narrow freezer and my pan won’t fit. Can I put them in the refrigerator?
Chandice says
You can but freezing would be better.
Claire says
I can't find any glutino crackers. Do you think Schar table crackers would work?
Chandice says
They work great!!
Brenda says
I haven’t tried making these yet but I’m very excited! Do they need to be stored in the refrigerator or freezer until eaten? Thank you!
Chandice says
No but if it is too warm, the chocolate can melt.
Erin says
What if I use unsalted butter? How much salt should I add to compensate?
Chandice says
Just a pinch 🙂
Margaret Bujold says
Hi! I can't find Glutino Table crackers in my area. Are any gluten free crackers good to use or is there another kind I could try?
Chandice says
Any gluten-free table crackers will do great. 🙂
Pam says
I was just wondering if you have tried to make this with molasses and honey instead of brown sugar? If it would work the same way?
Chandice says
I haven't, I am so sorry...
Meredith says
Every year I try to make Christmas treats for my friends and neighbors, but it can be exhausting. Making candy takes forever and I get overwhelmed (think Monica from Friends when her neighbors are knocking her door down for candy haha). I tried this recipe and it was a breath of fresh air. This recipe is so easy and so delicious. I make it year round because it is so good.
Rosie says
Can you make this with regular crackers? What kind, if so. I don’t have to be gluten free.
Chandice says
Absolutely! Saltines or graham crackers work great.
Dana says
What size box of glutino so you use? I see several options online ? Tysm ;). Can’t wait to try this 😉
Chandice says
Hi Dana, it was about a 7 oz. box. Thanks 🙂
Karina says
We just made this last weekend for a get-together. It was a HUGE success. I have been told to bring a double recipe next time.
Chandice says
Oh wow that is so awesome! It is one of my favorites so I love when it is someone else's too. 🙂
Molly says
This is brilliant! I love Christmas crack, but I don't tolerate gluten well, so I don't often make it. But this recipe has been perfect for the holidays this year!! Thank you for this delicious recipe!
Jessica Burgess says
So we do a game night the week of Christmas every year, and every year I get asked to make this again and again for snacks during game time! Haha! Thank you so much for this. It's delicious!
Chandice says
Awww that seriously means so much to me! What an honor!
Haley says
I made this with Earth Balance soy free butter substitute and it turned out amazing! I wasn’t sure what would happen but had friends coming that are dairy free and it was a hit. I used Nestle allergen free chocolate chips on top.
Chandice says
That is awesome, thanks so much for sharing Haley! 🙂
Ashley says
Semi sweet or just milk chocolate?
Chandice says
I like milk but you can use whatever you like 🙂
