Our strawberry mocktail, also known as a non-alcoholic gin smash, is perfect for a strawberry lover. It is great any time of year, but especially on a warm summer day.
This strawberry mocktail spritzer is one of the easiest fruity mocktail recipes to make. The sweet strawberries mixed with fresh mint leaves creates a tasty drinks that everyone will love.
I am a big fan of this strawberry mocktail recipe. It is one of the most delicious mocktails and is definitely the next recipe you should try. The fresh lime slices give some extra flavor and add a cute look to the drink.
This drink is similar to our virgin strawberry margarita mocktail but without the frozen aspect to it if you aren’t into that kind of thing. It’s also similar to the virgin mojito recipe and Starbucks pink drink recipe with lime or strawberry flavors. We use our strawberry simple syrup in that recipe and it is soooo good.
What you need
This strawberry mocktail recipe is so easy and only takes 5 minutes to make. You only need a few simple ingredients to get the sweet flavor of this delicious drink. This drink also has fresh ingredients (just like in our ginger beer mocktail), which is the perfect way to make a tasty mocktail.
Simple Syrup
Simple syrup is essential when it comes to making this non-alcoholic drink. Most of our mocktail recipes contain some time of simple syrup. For this recipe, you will want to use our Simple Syrup recipe.
In our Fresh Raspberry Mocktail, we use our raspberry simple syrup and it makes this drink so tasty. Trust me, you’ve got to try a simple syrup in your next mocktail.
Non-Alcoholic Gin
You don’t always need a non-alcoholic spirit for a good mocktail, but it definitely adds to the flavor. When it comes to non-alcoholic gin, I really like the Caleno brand. It is also great in our lemon mocktail.
Make sure that when you are buying non-alcoholic gin that it says “0.0%” on the bottle. A bottle may say non-alcoholic, but for a drink to be non-alcoholic, it can still have up to an ABV (alcohol by volume) of 0.5%. To ensure there is no alcohol whatsoever, keep an eye out of 0.0%.
You can find non-alcoholic versions of pretty much every spirit. We use non-alcoholic wine in our non-alcoholic mulled wine recipe and it is divine.
Club Soda
Club soda is another ingredient that is key to mocktails. It gives that yummy fizz to a drink. Some people use ginger ale, but I would recommend a club soda so it doesn’t mess with the flavor.
How to make it
Here are the simple steps for this recipe:
- In a tall glass, combine the simple syrup and lime juice from one wedge then muddle with the back of a spoon
- Add the sliced strawberries and lightly muddle again
- Fill the glass with ice and top with gin
- Finish with a splash of club soda and garnish with a whole, fresh strawberry and mint sprigs for additional flavor
Top tips: Add a cute cocktail umbrella to the cup or pour the drink into champagne flutes to make extra fancy drinks.
A mocktail is a twist on a good cocktail by making it non-alcoholic. Mocktail ingredients are pretty much the same as cocktail ingredients, but without the alcohol. You’ll see in this recipe, we use non-alcoholic gin. You will also see a mocktail called a virgin cocktail
Nope! Because we use non-alcoholic gin and club soda, it makes this drink a tasty mocktail. Mocktails can still be fruity drinks without being considered juice. Some mocktails even contain juice as one ingredient, but it is so much more than a juice. For example, you’ll find mocktails with lemon juice and orange juices.
