This 3-MINUTE virgin strawberry margarita mocktail couldn’t be easier to make and it is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Plus, you will love our twist!
Strawberry Mocktail
This cool treat is the perfect drink for those hot summer days. I like to whip up a big batch on a hot day, grab some margarita glasses and sit on the back porch and watch the kids play. It’s no wonder this non-alcoholic version of the classic strawberry margarita is a summertime favorite.
I made this delicious drink for our galentines party because it is easy to make and is definitely be a crowd pleaser! It takes less than 5 minutes to make and doesn’t have you tied up in the kitchen when you really want to be visiting with your guests. This Starbucks Pink Drink and our Strawberry Mocktail are so delicious and refreshing also. It has nice fruity flavor and is even dairy free!
We served our strawberry basil margarita with strawberry decorated sugar cookies on our Valentines charcuterie board or with heart shaped waffles. It is all so cute!
This fun drink is sweeter than our traditional virgin margarita so it will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. It’s also frozen rather than served on the rocks. We didn’t add the non-alcoholic tequila either but you certainly can if you want something closer to the real thing with more of a bite!
What you need:
You should be able to find the ingredients at any grocery store
- Strawberries
- Frozen limeade
- Fresh basil (optional)
- Salt
- Ice
You can also add some of our strawberry simple syrup if you want them sweeter and more “strawberryeyyyy”.
How to make it
The best part of this strawberry virgin margarita recipe is how easy it is to make. Simply place everything into the blender and blend well…that’s it! See what I mean about easy? It couldn’t be more simple.
Feel free to try another herb if you’d like in place of the basil. Mint and rosemary also work great just keep the amount you add to just a bit.
Or if you prefer, simply remove the herbs entirely. However, they are our twist that make this virgin strawberry margarita recipe EXTRA special! And here is another pink drink that you will love. Or go full smoothie and whip up this dragonfruit smoothie or even these slushies.
Sugar Rim
If you’d like to rim the glasses, like we do with our candy cane mocktail, just follow these instructions:
- While your glasses are empty, rim them by taking the lime wedge and running the flesh over the top and a bit of the sides of the rim of the glass.
- Dip lime juice rims in red sugar. Coarse sugar works really well.
Fresh fruit or frozen?
I prefer to use fresh strawberries, but frozen strawberries work just as well. Just make sure you reduce the amount of ice cubes you use to get a thinner consistency, unless you like thicker margaritas.
Can you add in more flavors?
Like we do in our our blue lagoon mocktail or non-alcoholic white Russian mocktail, you can add extra flavors with the addition of any of our simple syrups. And you know what? They are super SIMPLE to make!
- Raspberry Simple Syrup
- Lavender Simple Syrup
- Rose Simple Syrup
- Blueberry Simple Syrup
- Blackberry Simple Syrup
- Peach Simple Syrup
- Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
- Orange Simple Syrup
- Rosemary Simple Syrup
- Jalapeno Simple Syrup
Fruit mocktails
I love creating mocktails with fruit because they are naturally sweet and taste very fresh. Some of my favorite fruity drinks are also easy to make. Here are a few easy recipes.
- Mimosa Mocktail
- Non-Alcoholic Pina Colada
- Grapefruit Mocktail
- Cranberry mocktail
- Blackberry lemonade
- Lavender lemonade
- Ginger Beer Mocktail
- and this cucumber lime mocktail we featured at our succulent baby shower
What are some other delicious mocktails I can make?
We have a whole post dedicated to Christmas Mocktails because we love them so much! Our non alcoholic mulled wine is a fun recipe to try out at your next holiday party.
When it comes to Christmas mocktails though, our gingerbread martini mocktail and this non-alcoholic prosecco drink are two of my favorites. It is definitely sweet but everyone, including the kids will love it.
We also have some Halloween mocktails, Thanksgiving mocktails and Valentines mocktails too and none of them have alcohol, so they are all very family friendly!
Our smoking Halloween drinks non-alcoholic and the BEST Thanksgiving drinks non-alcoholic are two other mocktails with WOW! They will certainly get your guests talking.
