These candy cane Christmas mocktails have lots of festive flavor but without the booze. And so you are prepared…here are ALL my favorite products for making mocktails.
What do people drink for Christmas?
In the past, non-alcoholic Christmas drinks have consisted of after thoughts like soda, water, store bought eggnog and plain juice. But those days are over!
We have the most beautiful and delicious Christmas mocktails (like our ginger beer mocktail) to share so nobody should feel left out during the holidays. No matter what the reason you have for avoiding alcohol, whether pregnant, age or religion, you deserve a pretty drink that everyone else will be wondering where they can find it.
As a hostess, I personally love the idea of Christmas mocktails because I can make one batch of drinks for everyone. The kids can join in with the cheers and festivities and I love that!
Plus, you can really get into the theme of things with different drinks. For example, if you are doing a mele kalikimaka Island Christmas party, our blue lagoon mocktail is a vibrant 3 minute non-alcoholic drink that everyone will enjoy.
So without further ado, one of our favorite non-alcoholic Christmas drinks…
Candy Cane Martini Mocktail
We made this a Christmas mocktail without the alcohol but you can certainly add peppermint schnapps if you want in place of the peppermint oil and cream soda.
I wanted something that was classy enough to serve the adults at our gingerbread decorating party and white christmas dinner party, but would work for the kids and teens as well. You know what? Everyone loves it!
The crushed candy cane rim gives it that extra festive touch that makes it a bit sweeter too. The colors emanate holiday fun and the white drink itself reminds guests of freshly fallen snow.
And just like with our Halloween mocktails, Thanksgiving mocktails and Valentines mocktails, there is none of the alcohol, so it’s very family friendly! These drinks, like our non alcoholic mulled wine, have WOW factor and certainly get your guests talking.
The same goes for our gingerbread martini mocktail, the gingerbread cookie rim is so nostalgic with its holiday cookie flavor. And the presentation is great too!
What you need
- Half and half
- Cream soda
- Simple Syrup
- Peppermint oil
- Candy Canes
How to make it
Like most of our popular virgin drinks, sparkling non-alcoholic drinks or good virgin drinks, this is actually pretty simple…
Step 1: To prepare the martini glass rims, lightly coat the rim of your martini cup in simple syrup on a plate
Step 2: On another plate, place the crushed candy canes then rim the glasses by dipping the glasses that have been coated in simple syrup into the candy canes
Step 3: To make the drink, simply stir together 1 C half and half, 12 oz. cream soda, 4 tsp. simple syrup and 2-4 drops of peppermint oil in a small pitcher
Step 4: Pour mixed drink into the candy can rimmed martini glasses
Can you add other non-alcoholic spirits?
Definitely! This non-alcoholic prosecco drink can be added to it in place of the cream soda for a more spirited tasting drink. We have a great non-alcoholic gin and tonic that uses a fantastic botanical based spirit that would go great in this recipe.
While I would recommend our non-alcoholic vodka, it does make a great addition to the drinks you are serving up.
