- Honey – A honeycomb with a honey stirrer not only tastes great, but elevates the look of your charcuterie board.
- Gluten-free crackers – If you’re not gluten-free you can use regular crackers.
- Cheese – I like to use some sliced cheese and some soft cheese for a vairety of textures.
- Cured meats – Sopressata, Italian dry salami, prosciutto di Parma, and wagyu beef salame are some of my favorites.
- Artichoke hearts or olives – These are completely optional and feel free to replace with other veggies.
- Chocolate – Also optional but who doesn’t have a sweet tooth.
What type of cheese works best?
I like to use a variety of cheeses with different textures. Cheddar, gouda, and Swiss are my favorite semi-hard cheeses while goat cheese, blue cheese, and Marscarpone are my favorite creamy cheeses. Choosing the right kind of cheese is key for creating balance on an epic cheese board.
