Our strawberry mojito mocktail is a twist on the classic rum cocktail, but without the alcohol. The fresh fruit mixed with the fresh herbs make a refreshing drink that everyone will love.

This fruity mocktail recipes is going to become your new favorite beverage. It is great for a baby shower, dry July, a hot summer day, or if you are craving the sweet flavor of strawberries in a tasty drink. Honestly, it is perfect any time of year.

Strawberry Mojito Mocktail with lime and strawberry

When I think of summer, I think of fresh fruit. I especially think of strawberries. Nothing screams summer more to me than sipping on a yummy strawberry drink in the warm sun. Bonus points if I am by the pool.

My virgin strawberry margarita usually does the trick, but sometimes I want to switch it up and have a drink, rather than a frozen drink. The strawberry mocktail is another great one but I just love messing around with new recipes so this was born.

This non-alcoholic strawberry mojito is so easy and everyone will love it. Another summery drink that everyone loves is our Blue Lagoon Mocktail or our lemon mocktail. It is especially popular with the kids because it is blue.

You can also find delicious holiday mocktails, like our non alcoholic mulled wine. There are so many options when it comes to non-alcoholic drinks!

Top tip: I always find that serving fun drinks is even better when you have fun glasses. Get some cute cups (they have really cute plastic ones) and enjoy!

    What you need

Like with our Starbucks Pink Drink recipe and ginger beer mocktail, this virgin strawberry mojito recipe calls for simple ingredients, making it the perfect drink as it is so easy.

The fresh ingredients take this drink to the next level and will have you making the next batch before you realize it. You can thicken the drink a bit with fresh strawberry coulis.

    Strawberry Simple Syrup

To get the sweetness of the strawberry flavor, you need our strawberry simple syrup. Simple syrup can be added as much or as little as you want, depending on the sweetness level you desire. Mixed with fresh strawberries, this simple syrup creates the perfect strawberry flavor.

We use simple syrups in our mocktails all of the time. We have a plain simple syrup recipe, but we also have many other flavors, like blackberry, raspberry, and even jalapeño! Hey, don’t knock it until you try it.

    Non-Alcoholic Rum

To give this strawberry mocktail recipe its mocktail taste, you need non-alcoholic rum. For the alcoholic drink, the recipe usually calls for white rum, but for a mocktail, you will use non-alcoholic rum. Yup, it’s a real thing and it’s also great in our Virgin Mojito Recipe in 5 minutes.

When you are purchasing anything labeled “non-alcoholic,” make sure you are looking for a 0.0% ABV (alcohol by volume). Some non-alcoholic beverages contain some alcohol (no more than 0.5% ABV), so you will want to make sure you are buying the kind that has no alcohol at all. We really like the Ritual brand for this recipe.

    Club Soda

Club soda makes this refreshing virgin strawberry mojito a bubbly drink. You will find recipes that call for lemon-lime soda, but I find that a classic club soda doesn’t mess with the strawberry virgin mojito flavor.

    Step-by-Step Strawberry Mojito Mocktail

    How to make it

    • Place mint leaves and 1/2 lime cut into two wedges into a tall, sturdy glass or pestle and mortar and muddle to release oils in the mint and lime juice from the lime wedges (if using a pestle and mortar, move the leaves and juice to your serving glass)
    • Add 3 sliced strawberries and gently muddle again
    • Fill the glass to the top with ice and add the simple syrup and non-alcoholic rum (if using) then fill with club soda
    • Stir and add more simple syrup if you like it sweeter

    What is a mocktail?

A mocktail is a drink that does not have any alcohol in it. It is a play on the words “mock cocktail.” Cocktails are typically taken and made without alcohol, creating a mocktail. You will also hear them called “virgin drinks” or “non-alcoholic cocktails.”

What is the difference between a mojito and a mocktail?

A mojito is a cocktail, which typically contains rum. A mocktail does not contain alcohol and can be a variety of drinks. Mojitos usually have a lime and mint flavor, whereas mocktails are not tied down to one specific flavor.

I love the limes in this drink because they really enhance the flavor. I am a huge cherry limeade girl, but I’ve never thought of mixing up strawberry and limes! I will definitely make this drink again 🙂
