A birthday charcuterie board is a cute way to spice up any birthday party. With all of the bright colors, yummy treats, and fun decorations, it will be the hit of the party. Because yeah, birthday cake is good but I like to switch things up. Having a dessert charcuterie board is a new and exciting way to celebrate the big day! They are especially fun to decorate according to the theme of the birthday party.

Why make a dessert board?
WOW dessert presentation - Birthday charcuterie boards are as fun to make as they are visually appealing and also tasty. You can throw all of your favorite desserts together on a marble slap you typically use for a cheese board to create a unique board for a party!
Customizable to your party theme - I like to have these boards match the theme of the party. For example, a princess party it is all about sparkles and pretty pink colors. It even works well at a Two Legit To Quit Party with black and gold treats!
Everyone can enjoy at their own pace - This nice thing about this board is you get to set it and forget it. People can graze and snack at their own pace without your hands on need. I have seen personally that they make great conversation starters too.
Plus, here are all the best mocktails to go with your board!

Pro Tip: Use candles with the number of how old the birthday person is turning!

Here is What you need
Typically, charcuterie boards contain cheeses, meats, and crackers, but this birthday charcuterie board will include all of the sweet, yummy treats your heart desires!
Mini cakes
Adding cakesicles, a small drip cake or our bento cake makes the board extra special and is a great centerpiece. You can buy cakes like we did with these gluten-free mini bundt cakes or make your own.
Candied popcorn
I find that candied popcorn is perfect to fill in any spaces on the charcuterie board that may look empty. Plus, who doesn't love candied popcorn? It also is visually appealing, as it is colorful.
Bubble yum tape
Bubble yum tape is such a fun addition to this recipe. It can be manipulated in whichever way you want, so I made pieces of the bubble yum tape look like swirly confetti. It is so pretty and so fun!

Let's make a classic birthday charcuterie board!
- Having the mini cakes placed first gives you a center to ground everything else around. I like to add cotton candy in a few spots around the board next because it fills space and adds that fluffy height to the board.
- Things like bubble gum balls added to a pretty bowl or other small candies in a bowl give height dimension and a different shape to the presentation.
- 6 inch ribbon curls sweetie! Remember when that is said on the movie Elf? But really, that length works doesn't actually work great with pieces of bubble gum tape to make curls like party ribbon and place them around the board. I'd say 8 inches are better. This is my favorite addition to add though!
- I love to finish the board by sticking suckers into the cotton candy throughout the board and sprinkling the board with confetti sprinkles for a fun finish.

This recipe is so easy, that you can make it up to fifteen minutes before your party starts. I would recommend doing it a little earlier than that in case someone shows up early, but it can be put together quickly.
